Caution: Teenager in the house

Apparently, throwing a surprise birthday party was NOT
enough. "Mom, are you going to make signs for me?" (we always make and post humorous birthday signs around the house) "Are you still going to make a cake?" Ugh.
We pulled it off - much thanks to my pneumonia-carrying husband.
And, after we had her birthday dinner of crepes, we opened some gifts.
Which included:
A fantastic poem by Grandpa John
A visual Dr. Who dictionary.
Maybe I'll understand it more if I read this.

Another Dr. Who reference.
And here she is opening a 25 pound Harry Potter book
that I refused to buy her at Barnes & Noble because it was $60.
(I had pre-ordered it on Amazon for a deal. Even bigger deal when the price
dropped and they REIMBURSED me the difference. Yipee.)

Thank goodness she is pretty disinterested in boys
("EWWWWW!") because I think she's gorgeous.
