ACTUAL Halloween 2011

We had the biggest TREAT last night.
A dear friend of mind (I used to work with her at this SCARY place. We still help
each other cope with it all. I have to add that she also kindly drove out to Boston with me when I first moved here. She is the only sober soul who has seen me sing karaoke in South Bend, Indiana. 'Nuff said) is in town all the way from Las Vegas with her family.
Sadly, it snowed Saturday night (not a lot of snow but tons of problems) but her kids loved it.
I kept offering to let them take it home with them but no dice. I tried.
We got to to trick-or-treating together since NO WAY were they going to miss out on
that part of October. McKenna was an Indian and Liam was a very scary ghost.
Max, blessedly, was still a skeleton. (He tried to maneuver a Ninja costume
at the last minute but I wouldn't have it.)

They got some great stuff and Liam even spotted me a 100 Grand which
is my FAVORITE. Which made me adore him even more.
The kids took to each other like white on rice and we adults liked each other too.
(Speaking for myself, of course.) Too bad they live so far away. Maybe it's a good
excuse to go visit somewhere warm in the middle of winter!

Max got this HUGE pack of Smarties. Look at the size of those things!
He's convinced they will make him EVEN smarter!
We'll keep you posted.
Amy will kill me for this picture but it's my blog :)
(She pleads the humidity is killing her hair. I know her pain.)
But I love it when I can not see someone for 10+ years and still feel
like we've never left off.
Thanks for coming!
