Quidditch Night

A couple of weeks ago, the Young Women hosted a Quidditch Match for their Tuesday night activity. The Young Men were also invited.
Abby was beyond thrilled. Apparently, there are some serious
Harry Potter fans amongst us who also helped a ton.
The teams met to discuss their strategy.
Below, you can see one of the goals - PVC pipes and hula hoops.
Melanie, the fabulous leader on the left, pitched in for those.
Haley, on the right, was the human snitch.

Our bishop has never met a sport he doesn't want to get involved with.

Saint Maria (what I call her) set up Honeydukes.
Including Every Flavor Beans.
(You could hear gagging noises every once in a while.
Dirt and ear wax - not so tasty.)
It was going pretty well until Hunter showed up and the competitive nature of his family
genes (see his dad, the bishop's, pic above) came out and he wanted to maim everybody.
Still very fun and great exercise.
We were in charge of the Butterbeer.
We found a great (easy) recipe that was VERY sweet and tasty.
Here it is:
2 12-oz. bottles of NOT DIET cream soda (we used a 12 pack of cans and about 1.5 2 liter bottles)
4 1/2 tsp. Butterscotch Sundae Topping Syrup (we used about 1 1/4 c.)
Whipped topping

We mixed the cream soda and the butterscotch topping together. Then we put them into cups, added some whipped cream and a drizzle more of butterscotch. TASTY!

The recipe says to make a "foam" - 1/2 c. whipped cream, 1 1/2 tsp. butterscotch syrup and 1/2 tbsp. of cream soda. We didn't do that - just not the volume we needed to deal with.

Incredible imaginations. Wish I understood Quidditch etcetera. But not enough to read it all!
