The ship

We drove our car to the Bornholm airport, flew 25 minutes to Copenhagen, trained down to the pier and then got on the Emerald Princess for our cruise through the Baltics.

It was my first cruise ever and my mom's first "modern" cruise - she had been on one in 1967 and threw up most of the time (which made her very nervous to cruise again). No worries - the Emerald Princess was massive, beautiful and we could rarely feel we were moving.

This is a great shot of the ship in Stockholm
Our room.
(Plastic covering is for luggage.)
One of several pool areas. It rarely got warm enough for the pool.

This is the Piazza - what I call the main drag. There were casinos, theaters, bars and clubs but this is the center of most of it. Lots of performers here, and shops off to the side.

We were both very happy with the cruise. A great way to see a lot of places without the hassle of having to find/change hotels every few days. And not having to live completely out of a suitcase was delightful as well.

So I just went through all of your albums and caught up on your blogs. How fun. The cruise looks amazing. Why did you not take a picture of the topless lady? I can't believe you got to see the original Christus. I loved the rainbow on the floor of some church. That was cool you got to see that. I'm glad you put the video of your mom playing the organ. That was neat to listen to, but it must have been really cool considering your great, great- grandfather listened to that spirit and left his life behind to live what he believed. It is gorgeous there. And my last comment on the whole trip is bless that branch president who has been branch president for 26 years!
