Not actually Halloween but close

Wow. Yesterday was nuts!!! I'd like to write down a few of the things that I did just so I can be in awe of myself for a second (don't we all need that sometimes?): take girls to school, pick up stake conference copies for Brad at Staples; pick up at home and run Samantha's student teacher treat to her school since it's her last day; come home; go to Costco; come home; watch Dora Saves the Snow Princess with Max; attempt (unsuccessfully) to put Max down for a nap; mow part of the lawn; help Brad paint the side of the house; finish mowing the lawn; fertilize the lawn; take Sam to her birthday party; help paint some more; start making sloppy joes for the party; help Abby get her costume ready; take a shower (lucky I got that one in); go to the party with Max and Abby making sure we have candy to hand out, scary cake, sloppy joes/buns, food for Abby to donate to food pantry via school party, Max and Sam's costumes & camera; inhale some food; run Abby to her friend's to attend the school party; pick up Sam from birthday party and go back to the church; fun fun fun; trunk or treat with Max; help clean up; pick up Abby; go home; get kids in bed; attempt to sleep but stay up because of cough for a while. Man. Tiring!!!

So, here are some photos to go along with it:

Sam and her soul-mate Olivia ("Hanna Montana") ....... Abby and Haley (robot)

"Mela-P" (Melanie... she watches Sam/Max while I take Ab to orchestra and it has SAVED my life!)... Someone caught in the candy bag...

Hermione and Cleopatra. (Cleopatra almost gave us a show - the seams on her shoulders started to unravel - yikes!)

And,
REDEMPTION.
I won the scary cake contest. Maybe I'll take next year off? We'll see.... And yes, there is ACTUALLY cake in the can. Just couldn't eat the rats and the skeleton hands....

I LOVE the cake! It's so clever and funny! I might have to copy that if the opportunity ever arises.:)

My, oh my! How you got a shower in I'll never know. Plus you took photos to document their adorable costumes! I love Cleopatra -- too bad the costume began to fall apart. Can it be salvaged for Halloween? The cake was an awesome & creative idea. Liz, you are amazing. Now, put your feet up!!!!!!!!!!! (for 5 min. & then start running again, right?)

Great cake, Liz! How appropriate that you are the Emergency Preparedness Specialist. Congrats on first prize and making it through that crazy day.
